Company Background

Martin Green was inspired by his father who started out hawking newspapers on Brooklyn street corners and went on to own and operate a network of 200 stores. Taking the philosophy to "be the best at what you do," Martin created the model for Martin's News in New York City almost 20 years ago, bringing his decade of experience as Excecutive Vice President of a national newsstand chain to the fold.

Martin's News Shops arrived at South Station in 2003 and remains the only one, of 27 Martin's locations, to be located in a transportation center. Martin's is proud to say even though the company is New York based, there's not a single executive who is a Yankees' fan.
